Finally, the ultimate burger has been created.
Today Tonight reports that a budding Melbourne entrepreneur has invented the ‘Bogan Burger’ soon to be an Australian classic dish. Now while I’m not usually inclined to believe a single pathetic excuse for a news story that is on his program, it is suited to gimmicky infotainment such as this.
At 7000 kilojoules of mouthwatering fat, oil and grease, this burger is not for the faint hearted. Rivaling the American ‘Monster Thickburger’ of Hardies, the Bogan Burger has a more Australian appeal. It contains both bacon and steak, as well as chicken schnitzel and egg, with superfluous items such as lettuce removed. And if that isn’t enough it is also served with chips and salad.
I know many people who are excited by this concept, and failing a trip to Melbourne, will certainly be trying to duplicate the recipe at home.
