Spicy Chicken and Ranch Dip
April 14th 2011 19:39
I love dips. I've taken this as far as combining foods in strange ways and basically forcing them into a dip-like substance. My wife thinks it's gross, but I see it as efficient and I'm all about the mixing of flavors.
Before you get too worried I should say that this recipe is not one of my weird concoctions, it was always a dip, and a very good one at that. Again, as has been my tradition, this recipe is very quick and easy as well as full of flavor. With few ingredients, this dip will take a little over a half hour to prepare and serve.
The recipe calls for 1 large can of chicken, but if I have the time I like to boil and shred a chicken breast. 1 large chicken breast will suffice. Also you can change the amount of hot sauce that's included. My wife doesn't like hers as spicy so I go with the half a cup and just have others add more if so desired. The dip goes great with tortilla chips. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ cup hot sauce
½ cup ranch
8 oz block cream cheese
1 large can of chicken
½ cup cheese
Cooking Instructions:
1. Mix all ingredients together but cheese
2. Bake at 375 for fifteen minutes
3. Add cheese and bake for 15 additional minutes

I do prefer to use a real chicken breast so you're not really missing out on much. I just boil it and shred it, I think it gives the dip a better texture than the canned chicken.
