Spaghetti Bolognese
January 14th 2007 11:02
Ingredients:
5 Tomatoes
3 Cloves of Garlic
500 Grams Minced Meat
50 Grams Tomato Paste
1 Cob of Corn
½ Regular Onion
¼ Spanish Onion
Sour Cream
½ Bunch of Broccoli
200 Grams of Spaghetti
Method:
Place a pan on the stove top and set to medium heat. Add the mince meat and allow it to gradually cook and darken. Meanwhile dice the onions and tomato and place in a blender. Remove the corn from the cob and crush the garlic. Add these to the blender along with the tomato paste. Blend until a thick, chunky consistency is reached. Add the contents of the blender to the pan with the mince and stir. Reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer for at least half and hour.
Roughly chop the broccoli and add to the sauce, stirring. Do this in the last ten minutes or so to add texture. Finally add 4-5 tablespoons full of sour cream and stir. While the sauce simmers fill a large pot of water and add a pinch of salt. Place on high and bring to boil. Add the spaghetti and boil until softened.
While still warm, serve the spaghetti onto a large plate or dish, and smother liberally with the sauce. Further sour cream and/or olives and parmesan can be used as garnish. Add salt and pepper to taste.
