Earthdance- Don't Miss It!
September 15th 2007 08:03
Earthdance is a global party for peace that is held simultaneously at different locations across the world. The Sydney event will be held THIS SUNDAY the 16th of September at Sydney Park, St Peters.
It’s a great festival because there is a real focus on sustainable living. In particular there are some foodie aspects that you don’t usually come across and may be of interest.
Even better, the whole event is completely FREE with the option to give a donation upon entry.
While there will be tones of live music and Djs, there will also be stalls, workshops and food.
•There will be your regular International Food Strip, and more excitingly, a Providores Deli Market at the base of the iconic smoke stacks.
•There will be an educational talk on ‘Ethical Eating’ by Alice Blackwood (UNSW Thoughtful Foods Coop) at 1pm in the Earth Village
•Chai Temple will be serving beautiful spiced Chai and cakes in sumptuous and elegant surroundings to the accompaniment of some fantastic mellow tunes presented along with bamboo sculptures as seen at Peats Ridge Festival. Earthdance is proud to bring the old tradition of the chai tent back to Sydney’s inner city festival circuit.
•Earthdance Café
An area of lounge and relaxation in the heart of the festival with a scrumptious array of fine food and coffee made by certified baristas. All profits will go towards helping Earthdance and its associated charities.
•Licensed Bar & Wine Garden
There will be several licensed areas on site serving an assortment of beverages for your refreshment and convenience. ID will be required. Earthdance will be hosting some of the most reasonably priced drinks of any festival in Sydney so please remember that BYO will not be allowed this year. Proceeds will benefit Earthdance and its associated charities. Earthdance promotes only responsible behaviour and reminds everyone that this is an all-ages festival.
