Lara MCrab Dip

I've warned you I love dips. This dip adds in another of my favorites, seafood. This rich and creamy recipe is again quick and easy while offering great flavor. My wife would probably eat this just about every meal if she could. Every other week or so she calls me at work and asks if we can have crab dip for dinner.
While the dip itself is great, a big reason she and I are crazy about it is because I like to put the dip into a sourdough bread bowl. I simply cut out the bowl and use the remaining bread for dipping.
As you can see from the ingredients, the dip is very rich. The dip consists mainly of cream cheese and mayonnaise to go along with the crab. I like to substitute fat free or reduced fat cream cheese and mayo; I've found it doesn't take away from the taste while making the dip less filling and heavy feeling.
My wife and I prefer a smoother texture, so we like to substitute onion powder for the onion flakes. I've had it with flakes and finely chopped onions and it is still very good.

Ingredients:
1 6-8 oz can of crab meat
3/4 cup mayonnaise
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 tsp onion flakes or finely chopped onion
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in baking dish
2. Heat at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes
