Carbonated Milk Part 2.

A follow up on the carbonated milk post re: http://www.foodherald.com/carbonated-milk-rpm-amp-emoo/
Confessions Of A Milk Connoisseur
After reading Shani’s previous post reviewing carbonated milk products I was inspired to savour a sample of this new taste sensation sweeping the lunch tray. After searching it out on the internet I was disappointed to find it only seemed to be available in the United States.
This afternoon, feeling the pangs of sushi inspired hunger I sauntered along to my local raw fish eating establishment and happened to happen across some of this milky canned carbonated mayhem. I experienced some confusion at the counter about flavour choices and the like and double checked the drink I had chosen was the correct type and not some inferior non-dairy themed fizzy drink. I paid, grabbed my beverage and my day old sushi and prayed to Neptune it wasn’t harbouring some kind of salmonella bore heebee jeebee that would eventually burst out my belly Sigourney Weaver style.
As my dodgy food court fears subsided I sat down to partake in this apparent bovine ambrosia that I had heard so much about. Cracking the top and hearing that ever so familiar sound of aluminum against carbon-dioxide that leads to that first soothing gulp. I smacked my lips in anticipation and tilted the icy cold can towards my arid gullet.
What I was to experience next was only what I could describe as a mangled marrying of watered down re-hydrated milk, diabetes inspired orange soft drink and a middle flavour dwindling somewhere in between Italian cooking herbs, Grandma’s “Good For What Ails Ya’ By The Lovin’ Spoonful” Medicine Cabinet Special, and the actual middle of the road.
Highly recommended for those without taste buds and aversions to flavoursome normality.
NB. The brand sampled was neither RPM or Emoo, but some sort of Japanese variety.
